In fifth grade, his favorite subjects were American history and government, followed by philosophy and political science in high school and college. He has always enjoyed a good debate and is diplomatic in listening to both sides of an argument.&nbsp;

Dave attended Michigan State University for undergrad and the University of Detroit Mercy for law school, but only after a short career at Rockwell International in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, where he worked as a buyer for their aviation electronics division. While at Michigan State, he discovered a passion for business law. He, in fact, wanted to work for Dow Chemical or GM — but learned that a business degree wasn’t going to help him attain his dreams. So, he pursued law school and hasn’t looked back since.

After law school, Dave worked as a summer associate for Braun Kendrick Finkbeiner P.L.C. and joined that firm shortly thereafter. He served on their management committee for several years and was the managing partner when he made the switch to Warneramp; in the fall of 2015.&nbsp;

Today, Dave is a partner in the Warner Midland office where he counsels clients on business and corporate law, real estate law and trust and estate planning.&nbsp;

He especially enjoys succession planning, which happens to be a high priority for many business owners right now. Dave is a problem solver who takes pride in finding solutions for his clients. He enjoys strategic planning and helping individuals and businesses make sound decisions for the future.

Dave is a family man and enjoys boating with his wife, Beth, and their two daughters, Anna and Emily. Seeing his first daughter off to college last year was especially difficult, as Dave is a true sentimental at heart. He has been fortunate to live near his extended family and values the time they have shared together over the years. And although he always wears a suit and tie around the office, Dave trades in his professional attire for hiking and boating garb on the weekends.
